Summary:Geomagnetic Induced Current (GIC) is a natural current that drives from the underground to the electrical appliances. The existence of GIC causes a harmful effect on the surface and underground technology. This paper proposed the development of IoT GIC measurement equipment with LoRa technology as the intermediary for data transfer. The GIC measurement equipment is tested through several medium and distance traveled to test the LoRa module. LoRa technology is used for GIC measurement to ease the data transfer from the ground field or remote area to the area which is accessible by internet connection. The study is important to identify a suitable range for LoRa to be deployed at the ground station for GIC measurement. The LoRa module used for the research study is SX1278
