Summary: | I believe there is a resolution to the entry‐into‐practice issue that has been a divisive issue in nursing for almost half a century. This paper traces one historical route of how entry into practice became an issue, presents several present day suggested solutions to the issue, and finally gives a solution that I believe is credible, feasible, and would be a final solution to the issue. The final solution calls for the Bachelor of Nursing Programs and the American Nurses Association to work together to develop nursing graduates that are specialists upon graduation from the nursing program. |
