Summary:In this chapter, we study the application of various additive manufacturing (AM) or 3D printing techniques for the fabrication of solar cells. These techniques are useful for depositing active layers in solar cells. Also, some studies have shown their application in producing light traps to enhance efficiency in solar cells. They enable the mass manufacturing of solar cells with newly designed structures and materials. 3D printing represents various applications in the fabrication of multilayer flexible organic/inorganic solar cells and 3D solar collectors. This study will result in more investigations on 3D printing techniques based on polymers and their utilizations in the industrialization of solar cells.
