Literature in health and psychiatry reports that the experience of terrorism and war can create psychological trauma in individual minds, which may manifest itself as symptoms of anxiety, mental disorder, and stress (Levan 2006). On the other hand, social psychology researchers contend that terrifying collective experiences can lead to group anxiety at the community and/or national levels (Anthony 1973).
