Other chemical agents that have been used include ozone, ClO, the halogens bromine and iodine and bromine chloride, the metals copper and silver, KMnO, phenol and phenolic compounds, alcohols, soaps and detergents, quaternary ammonium salts, hydrogen peroxide, and various alkalis and acids.
