Summary: | Ultra narrow band modulation is still a disputable technology in wireless communication. To further understand this technology, it is necessary to study the details of typical ultranarrow band modulation methods, find out the relations and common characteristics. This paper first introduces five typical ultra-narrow band modulation methods, i.e. VMSK(3PRK), USM, TICM, VWDK and VMCK. The modulation processes are described. And the relationships and common characteristics are discussed. To compare the bandwidth efficiency, the power spectral density of each modulation method is given. Finally a brief discussion is made. |
