A noninvasive terahertz assessment of 2nd and 3rd degree burn wounds

We demonstrate the application of THz-TDS in characterizing the severity of burn injuries in a live animal model. 2 nd and 3 rd degree burns were studied immediately and 72 hours post-burn. A new diagnosis criterion was verified against histopathology.
