Perforated strips as rejection FSS

Summary:The total reflection resonances that take place at the excitation of a grating of perforated strips with one aperture over the period are discussed. Such a grating provides rejection frequency response. If appropriate dimensions of the slots are chosen, such a simple FSS provides high qualily-factor rejection resonance of the required frequency. Numerical results concerning frequency and angle dependences for the perforated strip are presented. Strict conformity between the rejection resonances in perforated strip and rejection waveguide irises is confirmed.
