Summary:The initial impulse for the presented study is the hypothesis that certain architectural notions through their alteration can be traced both in the modern movement and in the recently emerging "non-standard" architecture. These common notions are "movement and time", "abstraction" and "fluidity". The subject of the study is the architectural design of a residence on the basis of the re-defined importance of these notions. The aim of the proposed action is to highlight these different approaches (modern-non standard) as a continuity that initiates a change in the way of thinking, in the means of design, in the relations of figure and ground and in the perception of subject. In order to make this shift from the modern in the non-standard architecture more perceptible, the Villa Savoye of Le Corbusier; a building-emblem of Modernism, is taken as a historical precedent.
