Summary:The paper presents a comparison of three different computing platforms for signal processing in Passive Coherent Location radar: general-purpose PC, Sony Play Station 3 and NVIDIA graphic card with CUDA technology. The radar under consideration was developed at Warsaw University of Technology, and it is called PaRaDe (Passive Radar Demonstrator). It utilizes commercial FM radio transmitters as illuminators of opportunity to detect and track airborne targets. In order to perform real-time processing, high computing power is needed. The aim of this paper was to investigate various solutions providing good performance at a reasonable price.
