Summary: | Selection of an appropriate substrate is very important in the design process of microstrip patch antenna. As permittivity of a substrate is a vital parametric quantity by which various limitations of strip antenna can be overcome. The present paper is an attempt of a comprehensive study of various dielectric materials used in the design and analysis of a microstrip slot antenna and to investigate the effects on radiation features of proposed microstrip slot antenna. The proposed design is simulated at 2.45 GHz frequency. All the selected dielectric materials are having zero loss tangents. |
