Summary: | Provided that one keeps in mind the CRB limitations, that is, to become an overly optimistic lower bound when the observation conditions degrades, the CRB is a lower bound of great interest for radar system analysis and design in the asymptotic region. Even though there are many available CRB formulas for target parameters in the open literature, each CRB formula has been derived under particular radar modelling. Therefore, what is missing is a neat CRB formula valid independently of the radar modelling and its underlying approximations. The aim of this paper is to provide a general CRB closed-form valid for all possible diversities (temporal, spatial, code) in case of Gaussian circular deterministic observations, which describe accurately an active radar system. |
