Summary: | This paper presents the characteristics of a speed-sensorless vector control method of an induction motor operating at high efficiency and high response, in which core loss is taken into account. This system employs a speed adaptive rotor-flux observer and a direct-field-oriented control scheme to compensate for the influence of core loss. We investigate the characteristics of speed estimation, torque control, and efficiency when the rotor flux is changed, and demonstrate the usefulness of our method by experiment. |
