Summary: | Cities worldwide are developing in different ways amid global changes that are unlike any in the last century. As China ushers in a phase of high-quality development, its drive for urbanization is also facing new circumstances. Given these changes and to break new ground for its development, China aims to foster a new "dual circulation" development paradigm with domestic circulation as the mainstay and domestic and international circulations reinforcing each other. This strategy has created new requirements for urbanization during China's 14th FiveYear Plan period (2021-2025). |
