Summary:Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska offers undergraduate students in the College of Business Administration the opportunity to learn, explore and live leadership. As undergraduate students they are eligible to join the Anna Tyler Waite Center for Leadership and become a leadership scholar. This action research project explores how effective Creighton University's Leadership Scholars Program has been in developing future leaders while highlighting the program's strengths and growth areas. The research revealed that the program was very effective in developing participants understanding and personal growth on the topic of leadership. It also highlighted the program strengths, including participant self-awareness, exploration of leadership and business topics, networking opportunities and the opportunity to practice leadership. Development areas identified included creating a community of leadership scholars, increasing practical leadership experiences for all participants, and creating discussion groups to further explore leadership topics and ideas.
