Summary:In this paper, the authors propose to use the statistical analysis method in order to investigate principal elements which the technicians called "ball drillers" take into account when they play bowling balls, and try to suggest for getting more reasonable drilling rule. First, the real data obtained from two skilled drillers are introduced. Secondly, they are analyzed by using the principal component analysis method. Finally, with the help of the result obtained from the questionnaire survey, more reasonable drilling rule is suggested for improving throwing forms and feelings of holding balls.
