Summary:The inhibiting action of Tetraclinis Articulata inhibitors was investigated as the corrosion inhibitors of mild steel in 1M HCl solution using potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods, and weight loss measurements. The results revealed that both inhibitors of Tetraclinis Articulata were effective inhibitors, and the inhibition efficiencies obtained from polarization and weight loss experiments were in good agreement. The data obtained indicates that TCE and TCO behave as a mixed-type adsorbing onto the carbon steel surface according to the Langmuir isotherm inhibitors. Thermodynamic parameters such as activation energy and free energy of adsorption were calculated.
