Summary:This paper outlines the importance of Supply chain flexibility and its relation to organizational resilience. It accentuates the need for businesses to take a dynamic, innovative and proactive approach in managing risks comparable to their market position. It proposes a way of thinking about flexibility and resilience that entails more than simply returning to the status quo following a disruption. Risks and disruptions should be seen as opportunities to adapt and evolve in the face of hyper-connected networks, advanced cyber threats, highly competitive environments and changing customer expectations. Resilient organizations must increase collaboration and cooperation, both vertically and horizontally, and internally and externally. To prepare for and respond to likely disruptions, senior executives have to cooperate more closely especially in the production and marketing areas. This paper proposes steps that organizations can take to improve their resilience. These suggestions will benefit corporations during normal or crisis conditions. Keywords: Supply chain, flexibility, resilience, Innovation, disruption.
