DESMONUMENTALIZAR LA MEMORIA UNA CRÍTICA DE LAS REPRESENTACIONES DE LA VIOLENCIA EN EL OLVIDO QUE SEREMOS

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo hacer un análisis crítico de la novela El olvido que seremos de Héctor Abad Faciolince. Esta novela, desde su publicación en 2006, se convirtió rápidamente en un bestseller de la memoria en Colombia por el valor testimonial de lo narrado y por la plataforma editorial que sostuvo su publicación. Sin embargo, una aproximación crítica a la novela devela que se articula como una representación de la memoria clasista, heteropatriarcal y hegemónica. En este sentido, el propósito de este trabajo es analizar los mecanismos textuales e intertextuales que configuran esta modulación de la memoria, para abrir así una discusión que permita no solo visibilizar otras memorias más incluyentes, sino que también evite la institucionalización de determinadas memorias y la consecuente invisibilización de la diversidad de subjetividades y violencias. The aim of this paper is to make a critical analysis of the novel El olvido que seremos by Héctor Abad Faciolince. After its publication in 2006, this novel quickly became a bestseller of memory in Colombia for the testimonial value of the narration and for the editorial platform that supported it. However, a critical approximation shows that this novel is articulated like a classist, heteropatriarchal, and hegemonic representation of memory. In this sense, the purpose of this work is to analyze the textual and intertextual mechanisms that configure this memory modulation in order to open a discussion that allows not only to make visible more inclusive memories but also to avoid the institutionalization of some memories and the consequent invisibilization of diverse subjectivities and violence.
