Summary: | Three crossbred female calves were presented within four hours of birth with an unusual soft tissue mass protruding from the umbilical area. Clinical examination revealed intestines were hanging from umbilicus. The exposed intestinal mass was congested grossly and contaminated with dirt and bedding material. The diameter of umbilical opening varied from 1.5-3.0 cm. The condition was diagnosed as congenital intestinal evisceration and surgically correction was undertaken along with antibiotics and analgesics. All animals had an uneventful recovery.
