Summary:The mastering of the course "Family Research and Consultation" conducted to students of social education at Vilnius pedagogical university was checked by assigning them the creative task of reflecting on what family definition best conveys the essence of this social community. The pedagogical experiment has proved that a course on family studies influences students' matrimonial attitudes, their theoretical reflection, a study of scholarly texts from diverse sources, as well as their interpretative skills. Students accept education scientists' family definitions rather critically, and in making an interdisciplinary analysis, tend to give priority to family definitions presented by sociologists, especially to family definitions in A. Musteikis' "Lithuanians' Encyclopedia". Mokymas aukstojoje mokykloje tobulinimo poziuriu--tai permanentinis vyksmas, grindziamas sios srities didaktikos teoriju laimejimais, destytojo nuovoka ir geba sudaryti studentams gero mokymosi prielaidas, taikant skatinancia ju kurybiskuma strategija. Viena is svarbiausiu gero mokymosi prielaidu--kurybines uzduotys, kurias atlikdami studentai tarsi fokusuoja mokomojo kurso zinias, pritaiko mokslines analizes patirti. Palyginti siauro pobudzio kurybine uzduotis ypac efektyvi: ja atliekantis studentas gali bendrojo pobudzio zinias taikyti naujame kontekste, turi galimybe pasireiksti kaip individualus interpretatorius ir vertintojas. Straipsnyje nagrinejama kurybines uzduoties, atliktos VPU socialines pedagogikos specialybes II kurso studentu, isklausiusiu mokomaji dalyka "Seimos tyrimas ir konsultavimas", prasme. Baigiant dalyko mokyma, taikyta uzduotis "Koks seimos apibrezimas yra pilniausias ir tiksliausiai perteikiantis sios socialines bendrijos esme?". Remiantis studentu rasiniais, analizuojami ir bendrinami kurybines uzduoties, kaip dalyko miniatiuroje, rezultatai. Reiksminiai zodziai: geras mokymas aukstojoje mokykloje, kurybine uzduotis kaip mokomojo dalyko miniatiura, seimos definicijos, studentas--seimos apibrezciu interpretatorius ir vertintojas.
