Summary: | Travis Jones, a college student intern, pulled into the parking lot of a business where he worked as part of the management group. It was a dirt parking lot full of potholes in Norman, OK, where you could see corn fields for days. In the warehouse the only thing separating the workers from the bone chilling Oklahoma weather was a metal garage door which blocked the wind but did not make it any warmer. The company he worked for, Accomplished Printing Inc (AP), was too cheap to provide heaters for the employees. AP actually consisted of two separate entities in one building. AP was the first of the two companies in existence and was in its 30th year of operation. It was the more successful business. Accomplished Embroidery was the newest business and it was struggling to survive. The firm is using aggressive advertising and personal selling techniques. Customers of the new firm are reporting high levels of satisfaction and are engaged in promotion of the firm through word-of-mouth advertising. |
