Lepton flavor violating decays in Z' model

Summary: | Motivated by the hints of lepton flavor violating (LFV) decays, we study [B.sub.d,s] [right arrow] [mu][tau], [B.sub.s,d] [right arrow] [tau]e, and [[tau].sup.-] [right arrow] [e.sup.-] + [e.sup.+] + [e.sup.-] decays in Z' model. These LFV decays present interesting patterns that may reveal the shape of new physics beyond the standard model. Considering the effect of both Z- and Z'-mediated flavor-changing neutral current we calculate the branching ratios for these decays. We find the branching ratios Br([B.sub.s] [right arrow] [mu][tau]) ~ O([10.sup.-10]), Br([B.sub.d] [right arrow] [mu][tau]) ~ O([10.sup.-12]), Br([B.sub.s] [right arrow] [tau]e) ~ O([10.sup.-10]), Br([B.sub.d] [right arrow] [tau]e) ~ O([10.sup.-12]), and Br([[tau].sup.-] [right arrow] [e.sup.-] + [e.sup.+] + [e.sup.-]) ~ O([10.sup.-8]). |
