Summary: | Since the dynamic behavior of the wave energy converter is closely related to the efficiency of the generator, the dynamic analysis of the generation system is required. To find out how the wave height and period influence on the dynamic behavior of generator, dynamic behavior of the onshore-type wave energy converter is analyzed by using RecurDyn, which is a multibody dynamics analysis software. The wave load is modeled as Froude-Krylov force. It is noted that the higher wave height and the shorter wave period, the faster rotational speed of generator shaft. |
