Summary: | Data Transparency is one of the major challenges that comes with the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In the age of Digital Transformation, more applications and processes generate data that needs to be regulated under the requirements of the GDPR. Concepts like Data Ownership or Data Sovereignty becomes more popular and enable independent legal decisions for the data subject. This research-in-progress aims to develop a data transparency system that assists data subjects and companies. Therefore, a research roadmap which includes research questions and the design have been developed. First results, regard to research question one are mentioned. A structured text analysis of the GDPR identifies articles and recitations in the categories Data Transparency and self-control (Data Ownership and Data Sovereignty). In combination, a literature review of 1392 papers shows possible solutions. |
