In this paper, we discuss the core of the information exchange and integration problems together with possible solutions including a description of various standards for information exchange and a description of several wide-spread formalisms for a definition of information models. Finally, information exchange and integration problems used in our Semantic Big Data Historian is described, to illustrate the approach for solving some of the problems.
