Summary:Results from this study demonstrate importance of camping programs for children and youths with disabilities. In particular, camping programs fostering choice in autonomy-supportive environments where program challenge is balanced with campers' skill levels can provide excellent opportunities to foster camper motivation. Given the high reports of camper motivation throughout all programs, it is easy to see why so many campers look forward to their camp experiences each summer.
