Summary: | This paper aims at determining the mechanical behaviour of a dental implant using finite elements method. In this purpose from the multitude of dental implants speciality library had been chosen the implant type IEI 94. This type of dental implant was chosen considering the implantation technique which reduces any negative reactions that may occur in the area of implant fixation. The investigation of the behaviour of the implant mandible assembly was achieved using a numerical code involving finite elements analysis (FEA). The mechanical simulation of the mandible-implant assembly was made taken into account all the mastication forces and the fixation of the dental implant. Key words: implant, finite element, FEA, stress |
