Summary: | A revolutionary material, with certain advantages in implant dentistry was investigated. Porous Ni-Ti alloy (Actipore™) has a distinct feature: isotropic interconnected pores, allowing for osseous cells growing. In vivo tests revealed the biocompatibility of this material. The microscopic investigations (SEM, EDX) were used to identify any nonconformity (contamination) during mechanical processing, on the surface or inside implant parts. Key words: cylindrical implant, porous, actipore, BioMaxil |
