ALFORD, PhD, P.E., CAP, a member of the Process Automation Hall of Fame, is a widely recognized leader in bioprocess automation, batch process control, computer system validation, online data analysis, alami management, process analytical technologies (PAT), and applications of artificial intelligence. He retired from Eli Lilly in 2006 after a 35-year career, and is currently an independent automation consultant and a part-time professor of engineering practice at Purdue Univ.
