Summary:The Research Foundation of SUNY (RF) convened a Human Subjects Forum to provide a tool for organized communication among the persons responsible for human subject research protection at the diverse 30 SUNY campuses. Several statewide activities are now in place for the protection of human subjects in research including a unique new partnership between SUNY/RF and the federal Office for Human Research Protection (OHRP). This paper details the background, implementation, future, and impact on each of the members of this unique partnership.
