Summary: | There are a large number of inadequacies in the prevailing India—Nepal transit treaty. Issues with regard to documentation requirements, trans-shipment procedures, sensitive items, arbitrary bank guarantees, and poor infrastructure have resulted in considerably high transaction costs for transit cargo.
