Summary:This article examines the application of a new resin, with superior mechanical properties and solids content, designed in accordance with the needs of the well. This resin is able to penetrate areas previously inaccessible to conventional cement slurry, such as small fractures, channels or microannuli. The following case study illustrates how a sustained casing pressure problem was caused by a channel in the primary cement job.
