Tracking America's First Dog
The Carolina dog is regarded as being the first American dog, possibly crossing the Bering land bridge with the humans thousands of years ago. I. Lehr Brisbin, Jr., a South Carolina ecologist, did work with these feral dogs, attempting to tame them.
