"Design of Transmission Pipelines" (SNIP 2.05.06-85) governs stress criteria and calculations of pipeline-stress variables. The comparable U.S. codes are "Liquid Transportation Systems for Hydrocarbon, Liquid Petroleum Gas, Anhydrous Ammonia, and Alcohols" (ASME B31.4) and "Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems" (ASME B31.8).
