Summary:The effectiveness of higher education is strongly influenced by instructor related variables. This study examines similarities and differences in the preferences of college students for instructor attitudes. Utilizing a sample of college students from three countries (Kuwait, Argentinean and the United States), the results revealed that there are similarities and differences among the surveyed students for instructor attitudes. It was also found that there are similarities and differences among the surveyed students in the ranking order of instructor attitudes. The authors of this study suggest that the similarities and differences in the preferences of the surveyed college students for instructor attitude, and similarities and differences among the surveyed students in the rank order of instructor attitudes can be attributed to the cultural dimensions of these students.
