Summary: | Taking time to consider the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Practice Model, topics of interest within their coursework, or meaningful fieldwork or research experiences can serve as a fruitful guide in establishing with whom one might want to connect and what might prove a meaningful way to spend one's time. Within the Communities, Interest Groups play an integral part in sharing current information and evidence-based practices, consulting with others in the field, and advocating for issues alongside professionals on a national level. The Research Committee also annually awards the NASP Mini-Grant, allotting one recipient each year funds for a research project and an opportunity to present their findings at the annual convention, NASP also has several recognition programs designed to highlight the achievements of graduate students, such as the Student Leadership Champion Recognition, the National School Psychology Week Recognition, and the NASP-ERT Minority Scholarship. |
