Summary: | States' Critical Issues and NASP's Strategic Goals To gain a better understanding of the needs and concerns of state associations and their members, respondents were presented with a list of critical issues affecting school psychology and education and were asked to select the three most salient to their state. The most critical concerns for states were recruiting and retaining qualified school psychologists and school psychology positions (70%), expanding the capacity of existing school psychology programs to meet demand (47%), and responding to the mental and behavioral health needs of students in schools (28%).
