Summary:Soil samples were collected from the Point Mugu watershed near Oxnard, CA, and the presence of endosulfans was determined using gas chromatography/mass selective detection. The compounds studied were endosulfan alpha , endosulfan beta , and endosulfan sulfate. The extraction procedure used is described. The resulting concentration data for 13 sites are tabulated. Endosulfan alpha and beta were found at the highest concentration, ranging from trace amounts to 22.55 and 28.41 ppm, respectively.
