Summary:The economically important grasshopper genus Phaulacridium is comprehensively revised. Of the 3 Australian and 2 New Zealand species recognized and described, P. crassum and P. howeanum (both Australian) are new. The species P. nanum is removed and allocated to a new genus, Minyacris, along with a new species, M. occidentalis. Distributions of all species are plotted and interpreted.
