Injection of dextran sulphate enhances in mice the stimulatory influence of serum on growth of haemopoietic tissue colonies (GM-CFC) in vitro

A single i.p. injection of dextran sulphate elevates in mice the activity of blood serum for the stimulation of haemopoietic stem cell (GM-CFC) growth in vitro. Elevation of the stimulatory activity of serum persists up to 24 h after injection of dextran sulphate.
