Articles in the first section focus on long-standing questions associated with the economics of education: "Microeconomics of College Choice, Careers, and Wages" (Jere Behrman et al.); "Occupation-Specific Versus General Education and Training" (John Bishop); "School Resources and Student Outcomes" (David Card, Alan B. Krueger); and "Social Benefits of Education" (Nevzer Stacey).
