Summary: | Factors causing the partial loss of a lower limb may simultaneously produce extensive injury to the remaining portions of the same limb as well as to the opposite limb. The restoration of these parts assumes special importance by virtue of the added functional burden placed upon them. Several methods of circumventing these obstacles are offered. |
