Summary:Nuclear magnetic resonance on 57Fe nuclei at 4.2 K in BaCu2−xZnxFe16O27 (x = 0, 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 1.6, 2.0) hexaferrite was observed. The spectrum consists of 6 lines in the range of 50–80 MHz. The substitution of cupric ions by zinc ions for x = 0.8 leads to a significant change of resonant frequencies. The gradual broadening of the line near 75 MHz and its disappearance for x = 2 suggest the displacement of Fe3+ ions by Zn2+ ions. This line was assigned to 57Fe nuclei located in one of the tetrahedral sites.
