Summary:Conditions of formation of charge center or the small polaron (for electron and hole) and quasipolaron (for muon) due to the rotational degrees of the freedom in the molecular cryocrystals of ortho-H 2 are theoretically investigated. It is shown that two types of behavior (local ordering) are realized for the molecules near the carrier depending on the sign of its charge q and a parameter G (the ratio of the amplitudes of anisotropic parts of interaction energy of the molecule with the carrier's electric field and the molecular field): (i) orientation of the molecular axes perpendicular to the local electric field ( q<0); (ii) orientation of the molecules along the electric field ( q>0). The small polaron energy is evaluated for the cryocrystals H 2.
