Summary:Colleges and universities across the U.S. are making efforts in teacher education reform in order to better the training of instructors and therefore the education of children. In this article, the authors describe two aspects of interrelated changes in teacher education. They share various aspects of their journey--to redesign their teacher education program in special education at the University of Cincinnati--through the reform process, while describing the influences of program reform and changes within teacher education on their thinking. Because the reform continues, they report on their work to date, the challenges they confronted, and their next steps. (Contains 1 note.)
