Summary:Morphometric characterisation of genetic resources is one of the steps in establishing possible conservation strategies. In this paper a comparative study of different measures and indices zoometric between Pampa Rocha pigs is done (genetic resource of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay), and 5 varieties of Iberian pig (Entrepelado, Manchado de Jabugo Lampiño, Retinto and Torbiscal). Taking action is performed in animals over one year discarding those that deviate from the breed standard. Some of the measures used were: weight, ear width, head length, ear length, cephalic index, facial index, pelvic index compactness index and load shank index. An analysis of variance resulting all variables with significant differences (p
