Summary:Morphometric characterisation of genetic resources is one of the steps in establishing possible conservation strategies. In this paper a comparative study of different measures and indices zoometric between Pampa Rocha pigs is done (genetic resource of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay), and 5 varieties of Iberian pig (Entrepelado, Manchado de Jabugo Lampiño, Retinto and Torbiscal). Taking action is performed in animals over one year discarding those that deviate from the breed standard.
