Summary: | Introduction The advent of the fourth Industrial Revolution, a term coined by Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, is characterised by a range of new technologies that are merging the physical and digital worlds, bringing with them shifts in power, wealth and knowledge (Xu et al., 2018). [...]sports organisations are no strangers to digitalisation and must carry out their own digital transformation (Magaz-González et al., 2023), since technology is part of everyday life and some of these technological advances have their place within sport, helping in a general way to improve its different areas (Habibi & Khairandish, 2023).
