Summary:The effect of Quitomax ® on the incidence and severity of downy mildew (Pseudoperonospora cubensis Rostw.) in cucumber planted on protected crop was evaluated. Cucumber seedlings cv. HA-436, ATAR with 15 days were transplanted to a greenhouse type A12, where they received the phytotechnical work. Three doses of Quitomax ® (300, 500 and 1000 mg ha -1) were applied as treatments, at two moments, 15 and 40 days after transplantation (DDT), as well as the Verita® fungicide, all treatments distributed in a completely randomized experimental design. with four replicas. The incidence and severity of mildew at 30, 40, 50 and 60 DDT, the yield and quality of fruits were evaluated. It was found that 1000 mg ha -1 of Quitomax ® applied at 15 and 40 days provoked a lower incidence and severity of the disease than the fungicide treatment, as well as a higher yield with 90.5 t ha -1 and a greater quantity of first quality fruits. Resumen. Se evaluó el efecto del Quitomax ® sobre la incidencia y severidad del mildiú velloso (Pseudoperonospora cubensis Rostw.) en pepino plantado en cultivo protegido. Las plántulas de pepino cv. HA-436, ATAR con 15 días se trasplantaron a una casa de cultivo tipo A12, donde recibieron las atenciones fitotécnicas. Se aplicaron como tratamientos, tres dosis de Quitomax ® (300, 500 y 1000 mg ha -1), en dos momentos, 15 y 40 días después del trasplante (DDT), y el fungicida Verita ® ; distribuidos en un diseño experimental completamente aleatorizado con cuatro réplicas. Se evaluó la incidencia y severidad del mildiú a los 30, 40, 50 y 60 DDT, el rendimiento y calidad de frutos. Se encontró que 1000 mg ha -1 de Quitomax ® aplicado a los 15 y 40 días tuvo menor incidencia y severidad de la enfermedad que el tratamiento fungicida, así como mayor rendimiento con 90.5 t ha -1 y mayor cantidad de frutos de primera calidad.
