Summary:The objective of the research was to evaluate the incidence of root rot in three cultivars of Cicer arietinum L. The experiments were carried out from December 2019 to April 2020, on Fluffed carbonated Brown Soil, at the Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas. Fusarium spp. it was detected in 100 % of the plants with symptoms of the disease. No significant statistical differences were found between the cultivars regarding the incidence of Fusarium spp., with values ​​higher than 30 %. The phenological stage of the crop most affected by the disease was the filling of legumes.
